Alumni Excellence Fellowship.

The Student Support Fund for CERGE-EI Master Students was established in 2019 in order to raise funds for stipends and fellowships. The fellowship is meant for newly enrolled students who were ranked as the very best by the Admission Committee and remain among the top quarter of the first-year cohort based on their cumulative GPA ranking. It can also be awarded to second-year students who manage to pass the complete first-year general exams with a PhD pass and rank among the top three students of their study cohort. This support is vital for students to concentrate fully on their studies, and it helps the CERGE-EI study programs to be more competitive with other top programs in attracting the best talent.

Tereza Hofrichterová

“I feel absolutely privileged and delighted by the stipend I was honored with. I want to thank each and every patron who put their trust in my studies and accomplishments. I pledge my word to stay true to my studies and to work hard to be worthy of this fellowship. In return, I hope to one day become a patron and provide to the next generation of promising students. Thank you,” Tereza said upon receiving the news. Tereza is a first year student in Master’s in Economics, leading to a PhD in Economics. She graduated from Charles University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.
